I am saddened to hear of Steve Irwins untimely demise, his enthusiasm for animal protection will live on through his documentaries and movies and Australia Zoo,and i hope his family and children receive lots of support to get through this tragedy. He will be remembered with great fondness by everyone who came to feel they knew him a little through his shows.

My family and I were deeply saddened to hear of Steve Irwin's death. We saw him, Terri and Bindi in Australia Zoo in 2001 and were greatly impressed by his enthusiam and love of wildlife.
I hope that his influence will carry on at Australia Zoo.

I was -like so many others- shocked to here from his death. I respected him and his wife very much for there effords to make people more aware of the importance of wildlive protection and the overwhelming beauty of nature they showed to us. For me and many others he will be remembered as a passionated admirer of nature. I wish Terri an there children all the strenght they need.

My Husband woke me up this morning (it is still September 4th here), and also my husbands birthday. He always watched Steve's films from the 90's on up and we are very sad that it happened. We all loved him, his parents, Terri, and his beautiful children. I cannot believe it. May God Bless him and his family during this heartbreaking time in their lives.

Above all that Australia has achieved perhaps Steve Irwin carried the message of nature right into our homes across the world. He died as he lived doing what he loved best, but such a sad loss to his wife and children.

I wanted to add something to my post from before: I did not finish what I wanted to say, but when my husband woke me this morning and told me the news of Steve's passing I shook all over and it was a shock to me. He has been in our living room for so long it was just like losing a member of our own family. He always seemed so happy and up beat, and loved his family. There are not many people like him in the world and I cannot imagine what Terri is feeling. God Bless you Terri and your children.
My deepest sympathy,

Steve Irwin taught the world to love and respect all wildlife; his powerful message not to buy, eat or use wildlife products, particularly in Australia will niggle at the comscience of the exploiters long after he has left Mother earth. We will never forget all he did for wildlife. Heartfelt love and sympathy to Terri, Bindi and baby Bob ~ we are with you in spirit. Maryland xxx

Such a sad loss to Australia and the world and especially to his beautiful family. Having had the pleasure to see him in action in person, something I will never forget. A larrikin, a laugh and a great ambassator to australia and wildlife conservation. Just a thought. Do you really think he would appreciate all the flowers left at the zoo for him. I think he would say donate the money to conserving nature not wasting it on flowers.

First I would like to express my condolances to Terri, Bindi, Robert & Steves' father Bob. I was shocked at the news but I know that he died doing what he loved to do best. The "Crocodile Hunter" will always live on in video and through his family and friends. I am thankful for the work that he was able to do in his lifetime, which has allowed me access to animals and environments that I personally have never seen. Thanks for the memories.
