Solar City message to magnetic Islanders

Following is a message from the Solar City Team to Magnetic Island residents.

To everyone on Magnetic Island - we hope you are all safe and sound after the recent events of Severe Tropical Cyclone Yasi, and our thoughts are with those who have been affected by one of the worst cyclones in recent memory.

The Solar City installation team is currently working with the larger restoration force and focusing on restoring power across the affected areas.

An initial inspection of the Solar City photovoltaic (PV) systems by the team leader was carried out over the weekend, who found all our systems remained securely in place on the host roofs.

At this stage we believe there are no issues with the panels, however as soon as the installation team can be spared we will inspect all our PV systems. We anticipate this will take place over the next few weeks, depending on the availability of the installation team.
If you have any concerns about your panels or would like more information about the Solar City PV systems, please don't hesitate to call Community Engagement Manager Julie Heath on 0408 862 520.

The Smart Lifestyle Centre will remain closed until after power is restored to Horseshoe Bay and the building can be inspected to ensure it is safe.

The Townsville Queensland Solar City team.

Tonia In reply to The ongoing price of Nelly Bay Harbour
It's 14 years since I last visited Maggy. I am shocked by Nelly Bay and saddened. It is insensitive, ugly and juxtaposed to the essence of Maggy. I embrace progress in general, but this is poorly conceived and executed. Shame.
